SALISBURY — Three people accused of trying to rob undercover Rowan County sheriff’s deputies face additional charges.
Tramario Juana Parks, Messiah Alexander Wooden and Deanna Alexandria Scott are all charged with conspiracy to sell or deliver marijuana and possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana.
Scott, who allegedly drove the getaway car, also faces a charge of eluding arrest in a motor vehicle.
The new charges stem from an incident Thursday night when the trio allegedly set up a sale of illegal firearms and then attempted to rob the buyers, who turned out to be two sheriff’s deputies.
They face multiple charges in connection to the gun deal and are accused of conspiring to sell marijuana to the undercover deputies near Pearl Street and Morlan Park Road.
The transaction was part of an undercover investigation of illegal firearms in Rowan County.
When investigators arrived, Parks put a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol to the stomach of one of the deputies and demanded the $3,000 that had been brought as payment for guns, according to authorities.
Investigators quickly arrested Parks and Wooden. Scott, who was driving the getaway car, was also arrested.
The new charges added $15,000 each to bonds for Parks, 24, of 410 W. 15th St., and Wooden, 20, of 701 Elm St. Parks’ bond is now $265,000, and Wooden’s bond is $1,025,000.
The bond for Scott, 23, of 737 Heiligtown Road, went up $20,000 to $770,000.
