Shinn Graduation

Maranda Leigh Shinn graduated magna cum laude from Appalachian State University Dec. 18, 2011, with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with pre-professional concentration minors in Chemistry, Biology and Psychology. She was also a chancellor’s and dean’s list student while at ASU.

She is currently studying for her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at East Tennessee State University.

A 2007 graduate of East Rowan High School, Maranda is the daughter of DeeRay and Robbin Shinn of Rockwell and the granddaughter of Betty and the late CoyRay Shinn of Rockwell and Clyde and the late Peggy Lipe of Salisbury.

Maranda is engaged to Matthew Lingelbach.
