Safrit 50th Anniversary

James Meredith Safrit and Nancy Earle Miller Safrit of Salisbury celebrated their 50th anniversary at a surprise celebration dinner and party with family and friends Jan. 28, 2012, at First United Church of Christ in Salisbury. The couple were married Jan. 26, 1962, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Salisbury by the Rev. William Ridenhour. Mr. Safrit currently works at West Innes Exxon in Salisbury, after retiring from many years as a brick mason. Mrs. Safrit retired from Food Lion Corporate Office after 30 years of service. They have a daughter, Jamie Safrit Sokolowski and husband Mark of Salisbury; a son, Jimmy Earle Safrit and wife Wendy of Salisbury; and three wonderful loving grandchildren, Miller Sokolowski, Hunter Safrit and Meredith Sokolowski.
