Barrier 50th Anniversary

C. Lipe Barrier Jr. and Renda Treece Barrier of Salisbury celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a dinner with family and friends Jan. 8, 2012, at Logan’s Roadhouse Restaurant in Concord.

The couple were married Jan. 7, 1962, at Zion Methodist Church in Gold Hill by the Rev. Neal McGlamery. Mr. Barrier retired from the USDA Soil Conservation Service after 33 years of service. Mrs. Barrier retired from NCARNG Army Aviation Support Facility 2 after 25 years of service.

The Barriers have a son, David Barrier and wife April of Salisbury; and two grandchildren, Taylor and Mason.

The couple are active members of Milford Hills United Methodist Church and Westcliffe Civic Association.
