Pool, fishing lake under construction at new campsite in Davidson County Arthur and Glenda Morrison have opened CrossWinds Family Campground just off Sowers Road at 160 Campground Lane in Linwood.
Since the pool and other facilities are still under construction, the campground is offering special rates of $28 per night at the 49 campsites for tents, pop-ups, full-size campers and transits.
When construction is complete, the campground will offer a walking/bike path, bath house, laundry room, fishing lake, playground, wireless Internet connection, cable hookups and a game room. Pets are welcome.
Glenda Morrison, a lifelong Churchland resident, said the pool and bath house should be complete by mid-August and the game room and fishing lake likely will follow, possibly by the fall. She said they had a "power up" event in mid-June and have been open for guests since then.

My family spent Labor Day weekend at Crosswinds and we had a wonderful time. We are looking forward to coming back in the future. The live music was great. The campground is close to High Rock, Dan Nicholas Park, and the Transportation museum, close to historic Spencer shops and Salisbury also has allot to offer if you are like me and suffer "mall withdrawal" while camping. thanks again for the wonderful time !
