Don't throw out that cow costume just yet.

As part of Chick-fil-A's fifth annual Cow Appreciation Day celebration, the company is offering a free meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) to any customer who visits one of its restaurants fully dressed as a cow this coming Friday, July 10.

Customers dressed head to hoof as a cow will be rewarded with a free Chick-fil-A meal, which includes an entree of choice, a side item and a Dr Pepper (or other beverage).

For those too timid to wear cow costumes, Chick-fil-A will award a complimentary entree to customers partially dressed in cow attire, such as a cow-spotted scarf, purse, hat or other accessory.

Salisbury Chick-fil-a restaurants are located at 902 E. Innes St. and at the Salisbury Mall.

Moose Pharmacy of Mount Pleasant honored

Moose Pharmacy of Mount Pleasant has received the N.C. Family Business of the Year Award for 2008 from Wake Forest University's Family Business Center and Business North Carolina magazine.

Medical Center Hires institution-wide CFO

WINSTON-SALEM — Edward G. Chadwick has been selected as executive vice president for finance and chief financial officer of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, a new position created as part of the Medical Center reorganization that began two years ago.

Chadwick begins work July 1.

He will report directly to Dr. John D. McConnell, chief executive officer of the medical center.

The chief financial officers of the medical center's two main component institutions, North Carolina Baptist Hospital and Wake Forest University Health Sciences, will report to Chadwick.

With 30 years of experience, Chadwick is considered a national leader in health care finance, with specific expertise in systems integration, treasury management and strategic financial planning.

Most recently Chadwick was chief financial officer and senior vice president for Trinity Health, based in Novi, Mich. Trinity is the fourth-largest Catholic health care system in the United States, with more than $6 billion in revenue, 42 hospitals and nearly 400 outpatient facilities, as well as nursing homes, senior living facilities, home health agencies and hospice programs, in seven states.

Chadwick, a native of Ann Arbor, Mich., holds a bachelor's degree in economics with a minor in mathematics from the University of Michigan and an master's in finance from the University of Chicago. He and his family have lived for 20 years in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
