A man was taken to the hospital Tuesday morning following a single-vehicle wreck.
The identity of the man is unknown at this time. Highway Patrol officials, who are investigating the accident, went to Rowan Regional to speak with the victim.
Locke Fire Chief Rusty Alexander said he and fellow firefighters came upon the F250 pickup already wrecked.
They were returning to the station from another incident. This accident occurred at 5714 Mooresville Road sometime before noon.
"We called it in. It had just happened," Alexander said.
The man had to be cut from the truck using the Jaws of Life.
He had a head injury and cuts to his face, Alexander said.
