A teenager who was supposed to be delivering marijuana ended up in jail facing multiple felony counts.
The Rowan County Sheriff Office charged William Harley Hodges with robbery with a dangerous weapon and kidnapping.
Capt. John Sifford, said investigators determined Hodges was supposed to deliver marijuana to a buyer.
When he arrived at the location, the buyer got in the car with Hodges. At that point Hodges pulled a gun, took the man's money and kept him in the car for a short distance, before freeing him.
Harley was arrested Nov. 19, and is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center with bond set at $40,000.
Other reports of charges or incidents from Nov. 19:
- A 17-year-old student at West Rowan High School made verbal threats to a teacher.
- Suzanna Nathalie Ruggles, 750 Eastview Road, was bitten by a dog around 4 p.m. Friday. County EMS responded to assist. the dog was picked up by animal control.
- Tim S. Bowles, 1305 Holshouser Road, Rockwell was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
