Police seek suspect in credit card theft

Salisbury Police are seeking help in identifying someone who used a stolen credit card at a local business.

According to police, credit cards were stolen from an office at Catawba College on Nov. 11 between 8 a.m. and 12 noon.

A SunTrust Visa card was used at Food Lion on Mahaley Avenue at 12:01p.m., 12:02 p.m. and 12:03 p.m.

In addition, a BB&T Visa was used at 12:14 p.m. at CVS on East Innes Street. The suspect purchased more than $1,200 worth of pre-paid Visa gift cards with the stolen Visa cards.

Anyone with information about the identity of this individual is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245. Information received will be kept confidential and Crime Stoppers does pay cash rewards.
