n 1921 — China Grove Cotton Mills organized;
n 1923 — Mill 1 begins production;
n 1986 — Dixie Yarns buys company;
n 1988 — Kondo Cotton Spinning Co. of Japan buys company — renamed China Grove Textiles, has 400-500 employees;
n 2000 — National Textiles, a former subsidiary of Sara Lee Corp. based in Winston-Salem buys company. Sara Lee Corp. spins off Hanesbrands in 2006.
n December 2008 — China Grove plant will close.
