The Rowan County Sheriff's Office charged a Salisbury man with drug possession after investigators discovered he was trying to sell cocaine to someone in a local business parking lot.
Timothy Lee Hamilton, 47, of 706 S. Ellis St., Salisbury, also 1323 Keystone Drive, Salisbury, was charged with possession with the intent to sell cocaine and driving while license revoked.
On Thursday, investigators found three grams of crack cocaine on the suspect.
Investigators approached Hamilton in the parking lot of Queen's Appliance located at 1266 Statesville Blvd.
He apparently was waiting to sell cocaine to someone, a report said.
The crack cocaine was found in his pocket, the report said.
Hamilton was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $2,500 secured bond. He has since been released from the jail. His first court appearance is Monday.
