Blotter: Laptop computer stolen from Dale Earnhardt Inc. vehicle

A $1,000 laptop computer was stolen from a Dale Earnhardt Inc. vehicle Oct. 5 or 6, according to the Rowan County Sheriff's Office.

Shawn Lauren Nettleton reported the theft occurred while the truck was parked at his 254 Strawberry Lane home.

In other Sheriff's Office reports:

- Silvino Echeverria Acevedo, 37, was charged Oct. 6 with assault on a female based on a complaint by Kimberly Foley Spach, 260 Wilcoy Road, Rockwell.

- Timothy Bobby Adams of Granite Quarry reported a $75 tool chest stolen between Oct. 1 and 6 from a storage building at 235 Kress Venture Drive, China Grove. The burglar also broke two window panes, causing $300 damage.

- Gary W. Rowell, 340 Willow Oaks Drive, China Grove, reported a handgun, television and diamond ring stolen during a burglary at his home between Oct. 1 and 6. Total loss was $$1,600.

- John Ivey Lanier reported a purse stolen from a vehicle parked at 141 Strawberry Lane Oct. 6.

- Mary Elizabeth Ward, 125 Strawberry Lane, reported keys stolen from a vehicle parked at her home the night of Oct. 5.

- Matthew Montgomery Morgan, 1022 Gracebrook Drive, reported someone broke into two vehicles parked at his home the night of Oct. 5 and stole a $25 flashlight.

- Bryan Todd Smith, 233 Random Drive, reported items valued at $36 stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at his home the night of Oct. 5.

- Robert Allen Hobson, 36, was charged Oct. 6 with assault on a female at 1551 Woods Lane, Kannapolis.

- Robert Edward Knox, 153 Hawkins Loop, reported two guns and a set of keys missing from his home between Sept. 6 and 22. Total loss was $1,500.

- Robin Ritchie Seropian, 659 Maple Ridge Circle, reported items stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at his home Oct. 5.

- Michael Joseph Mangum of Salisbury reported a camera and credit card machine stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at 3330 Shue Road between Sept. 30 and Oct. 6. Total loss was $901.

- Chris Reynaurd Sharpe of Spencer reported a $350 car stereo stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at 2885 Old Union Church Road the night of Oct. 3.

- David Wayne Moore, 120 Strawberry Lane, reported $200 worth of CDs and $5 in coins stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at his home the night of Oct. 5.

- Kendall Jones Garrett, 1210 Kingsway Drive, reported the Oct. 6 theft of $250 from his home.

- Andrew Alan Berkley, 245 Strawberry Lane, reported a wallet stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at his home the night of Oct. 5.

- Yadkin Valley Telephone of Yadkinville reported copper wire stolen on three different occasions between Oct. 4 and 6 from a work site at Erwin Temple Church and Needmore roads. Total loss was $5,000.

- Sidney Williams, 33, was charged Oct. 6 with assault by pointing a gun at 4807 Old Concord Road.

- William Edgar Roberts, 23, was charged Oct. 6 with indecent exposure at 330 Paige Drive.

- Shawn Corbitt Grady, 22, was charged Oct. 6 with misdemeanor larceny at 330 Paige Drive.

- Paul Leveren Davis, 27, was charged Oct. 6 with felony taking/obtaining a financial transaction card.

- Jeffrey Scott Bradley, 24, was charged Oct. 6 with felony taking indecent liberties with children.
