Two charged with Rowan break-ins after multi-county chase

Two people caught after a multi-county car chase by the Cabarrus Sheriff's Office have been charged with multiple break-ins in the Bostian Heights community.

Noah Keiford Garrett, 25, of 130 Mcleave Drive, Landis and William Lambert Jr. 18, of 85 McKinnon Ave., Concord are being held in the Cabarrus County Jail on Cabarrus warrants. Additional Rowan warrants have been served.

Cabarrus deputies responded to a call early Saturday morning about a suspicious vehicle on Bethel School Road. The chase went through four counties, ending near Locust in Stanly County.

During the chase, things were thrown from the car, including credit cards that led investigators to connect the men to the Rowan break-ins.

Lambert and Garrett are each charged in Rowan with seven felony counts of breaking or entering a motor vehicle. Lambert is charged with four counts of misdemeanor larceny, with Garrett facing six counts.

Capt. John Sifford of the Rowan County Sheriff's Office said all of the break-ins occurred in the Bostian Heights area on Sept. 29.

The vehicles hit included cars owned by Jerry Wayne Cartner, Rick Perry and Vicky Miles, all residents of Pamela Street; Kenneth Ray Holshouser, David Fink Garmon and Andrew Michael Burr, all of Bostian Heights Street; and Michael Wayne Hartness, of Kay Street.

Officials were not sure if any of the items taken have been recovered.

Lambert's bond in Cabarrus is $668,000. Garrett's bond is set at $255,000.
