Mount Ulla Elementary School will hold its annual Community Day on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The event will feature games and other entertainment, including basket raffles, pony rides, "bouncy" houses, Ruritan chicken and dumplings and live music from three different groups. Participants will include the American Red Cross and American Cancer Society.

In addition, people are asked to bring canned food to contribute to the school's food drive for Rowan Helping Ministries West.

Wrist bands are $5 each. All proceeds go to the Mount Ulla PTA to help purchase active boards for 13 classrooms.
