The W.G. "Bill" Hefner VA Medical Center is eliminating its emergency, surgery and inpatient services.
The center will focus on mental health and long-term care, according to a release from the Department of Veterans Affairs in Durham.
The hospital will work with local hospitals and health care facilities for veterans' medical and surgical needs, the release says.
More details as they become available.
