SherrŽ DeMao, author of the newly released book, "Me, Myself & Inc.: A Synergized World, An Energized Business, Living Your Ultimate Life," will be the instructor for two Rowan Cabarrus Community College Small Business Center classes being held Tuesday and Thursday.
DeMao has been a longtime instructor for numerous small business centers in the region, including being an instructor for Rowan Cabarrus' Small Business Center since 2003.
"We are blessed in North Carolina to have a resource such as the N.C. Small Business Center Network to offer these classes to existing and start-up businesses," DeMao said in a press release.
"This is one of the reasons that North Carolina is among the best states to be in business and start a business, even amidst the economic challenges being faced."
Here are details on the sessions on "How To Market My Small Business":
- Tuesday, 6:30- 8:30 p.m., RCCC North Campus, Room 261, 1333 Jake Alexander Blvd. South, Salisbury.
- Thursday, 6:30-8:30 p.m., RCCC Cabarrus Business and Technology Center (CBTC), Room 9281, 660 Concord Parkway North, Concord.
For more information or to pre-register for the class, call 704-216-3512 or e-mail sbc@rowancabarrus.edu.
DeMao will also be at Max's Ally Restaurant on Sept. 15, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for a book signing, with $3 of each book sold going to benefit Cooperative Christian Ministry of Concord. Books will be sold at the signing. The owners of Max's Ally, Jon and Kim Dressler, are featured in a chapter of the book, written by DeMao. Max's Ally is located in Afton Village at 355 John Galt Way, Suite 101, Concord.
"Me, Myself & Inc." is DeMao's first book. The first 20 chapters of the book end with questions and exercises to help readers get to the core of what may be holding them back, distracting them or making what they are trying to achieve more difficult than it really needs to be. The final section of the book features inspiring stories and "Synergized Insights" of entrepreneurs from across the country.
