Faith Farm & Equipment at 585 W. Ritchie Road is among the latest victims of thieves.
Someone cut a chain on the gate and took a lawn mower and attempted to take a second one.
The theft occurred between 6 and 9 p.m. on Aug. 31.
Other incidents or charges for Aug. 31:
- Sarah W. Shepherd of Mockingbird Lane reported the theft of a two-piece diamond ring set valued at $3,200. The theft occurred between Aug. 22 and Aug. 31 at 11 a.m.
- Nicholas Lane Beaver, Smith Road, Kannapolis, reported the theft of a plasma TV and a Nintendo Wii from his home. The items, valued at $1,400, were taken between Aug. 29 and 31.
- James F. Summer of Hart Road, Woodleaf, reported someone tried to force entry to his home between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Aug. 31.
Unsuccessful in the break-in attempt, the damage to windows totalled over $800.
Other incidents or charges that occurred on Aug. 28:
- Deputies responded to a fight on a Erwin Middle School bus.
The bus driver, Kathy Smith, broke up the fight and got the two students off the bus. The incident occurred while the bus was on Old Concord Road.
The students will be referred to juvenile services.
