Young Scholar

Jesse Redding, a rising sixth-grader at Erwin Middle School, attended the July CSI 2 strand of the National Young Scholars Program at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem.

He studied leadership concepts such as team building, character development, communication, problem solving and goal setting.

He also studied the CSI 2 strand of the Amazing Science of Detection Discovery, working with other participants to solve the mystery of "The Missing Medallion."

He is the son of Jeff Redding and Heather Redding, both of Salisbury.
