Sheriff's Office searching for 3-year-old boy abducted from China Grove home

The Rowan Sheriff's Office is looking for a 3-year-old boy who was allegedly abducted by his mother from a China Grove home.

According to a law enforcement broadcast, the child, Dakato Bender, was last seen with his mother in a tan colored 2000 GMC Yukon with N.C. license plate NVN 9227.

The mother, whose name was not immediately available, has ties to the Cherokee Indian Reservation and has friends in West Virginia and North Carolina.

She has supervised visitation rights and took the child during a visitation.

The mother is described as 5 feet 3 inches, weighing 115 pounds. She has shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes.
