Second motorcycle accident victim dies

A second person has died as a result of a Sunday evening accident involving a motorcycle and a car in western Rowan County.

Cindy Stewart, who was a passenger on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by her husband, died Monday, the N.C. Highway Patrol reported.

Barry Stewart, the 44-year-old driver of the motorcycle, died at the scene of the wreck,

The crash occurred at the intersection of N.C. 152 and Corriher Grange Road in the Atwell community when Robert Creswell, of Mooresville, attempted to turn onto Corriher Grange Road and pulled into the path of the oncoming motorcycle, according to a Highway Patrol report.

Creswell was taken to Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.
