GRANITE QUARRY — The town of Granite Quarry still has some craft booth openings for its annual Granite Fest to be held this year from 3-10 p.m. Sept. 6.

The annual event will have a patriotic theme to honor all military and civil servants.

A $5 wristband will supply unlimited inflatable rides, including a 30-foot rock wall, until 8 p.m.

Crafts, food and entertainment will be available throughout the day. Gospel, Elvis, Nadirah Dance and Still Cruzin' Band will provide dancing music from 6:30-10 p.m.

For more information or to rent a craft booth, call 704-279-5596, extension 204.

Poll
What do you think of the legislature putting parts of Rowan County in three different congressional districts and two state Senate districts?
  • I like it; Rowan will have more members of Congress and the state Senate
  • I don't like it; it's hard enough to figure out who my congressman is
  • I don't care about politics, so it makes no difference to me
