Blotter: Wire mesh stolen from construction company

Twenty sheets of wire mesh were stolen from a fenced area behind 1521 S. Main St., according to the Salisbury Police Department.

The wire, belonging to Wallace Construction Co., was stolen the night of July 21 after someone broke into the locked area.

In other Police Department reports:

- Candace Monique Hovis, 715 Hall St., No. 59Q, reported $275 in cash stolen from her home July 21.

- Neville Brandon Storey, 216 Grove St., reported someone tried to break into his home July 21.

- The hub caps were stolen off an N.C. Mental Health Association van parked at 600 W. Innes St. July 21.

- Tiffini Jeanine Addison reported her pocketbook was stolen from her vehicle while it was in a parking lot at the corner of West Liberty and North Jackson streets July 21.

- Lasonja Michelle Garrison, 1015 N. Church St., reported electronic items stolen during a July 21 break-in at her home.

- Yolanda Michele Phillips reported the catalytic converter was removed from her vehicle while it was parked at 1035 Mooresville Road July 21.

- Jackie Mitchell was charged July 21 with misdemeanor larceny of a weed trimmer from Kmart, 815 E. Innes St.

- Robert Lee Ross, 2201 Statesville Blvd., reported two government checks stolen from his home July 21.

- A juvenile was charged with shoplifting July 21 at Wal-Mart, 323 S. Arlington St.

- Don Newcomb Watson, 19, was charged July 21 with misdemeanor possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance at 700 W. Horah St.

- Judy Williamson Earnhardt reported July 21 that she had been a victim of credit card fraud.

- Terry Bruce Peoples reported vandals cut three tires on his vehicle while it was parked at 140 Independence Drive the night of July 21.

- Elizabeth Ann Bentley, 103 Mitchell Ave., reported vandals painted graffiti on her storage building July 22.
