NO NEED FOR DRUG DOG, EH? : Thursday, July 24, 2008 10:14 AM

so, the drug dog and training would be paid for by a grant(NO cost to the town), but it wasn't approved because some of the alderman thought WE DON'T HAVE A DRUG PROBLEM IN LANDIS... Officer File-keep up the good work!

We should be proud to have such hard working officers with our dept. I appreciate the hard work and dedication my officers display to the town of Landis. Despite all the negative comments. We thank all the supporters of our police dept. This shows despite the rough road the dept. is facing right now our officers still give 110% to their job and the town. We will continue to make this town a safer town no matter what it takes.

Methadone Killer Drug : Wednesday, July 23, 2008 3:30 PM

In 2005 Methadone is indicated in over 4600 deaths nationwide and this number is underestimated due to an error in ICD10 coding and non uniform procedures in reporting and determining causes of death. Methadone is killing more people than any other prescription drug, killing 2 people for every 100 exposed. Methadone KILLS when taken EXACTLY as prescribed!! Most of these deaths are related to methadone prescribed with other medications that react as additives with the methadone. Diversion of methadone is a serious problem because it lands t hi s most deadly drug on streets. Statistics also state that methadone is contributing to more deaths nationwide then heroin and only second to cocaine deaths. The potential of abuse, diversion, and overdose to new patients being prescribed methadone is overwhelming. The unique properties of methadone, it's long half life, and it's negative interaction with numerous drugs make it an optimal choice as a last result treatment for chronic pain and addiction. www.harmd.org Helping America Reduce Methadone Deaths Please sign the petition here http://www.thepetitionsite.com/petition/472711451

Our officers do such a great job and often while having their hands practically tied by the bureaucracy from the town board. Keep up the good work Officer File.

Excellent job. Both Landis and China Grove, with a small police force seem more able to arrest drug offenders then Kannapolis does with enough police to trip over each other.
