CHINA GROVE — The annual Farmers Day festival starts at 9 a.m. Saturday with opening ceremonies and wraps up with fireworks at 9:30 p.m. And there's a lot going on in between, highlighted by the Little Miss/Mister Farmer contest at 11 a.m., with the cut-off for entry at 10:45 a.m.
After opening ceremonies on the Main Street Stage on South Main Street, the slate is full: One Faith, 10 a.m.; Snapshot, 11 a.m.; Dimensions Dance Arts, noon; Carson High School Jazz Band, 12:30 p.m.; Center City Group Band, 1 p.m.; Center Stage Dance Company, 6 p.m.; Chairmen of the Board, 7 p.m.; Fireworks, 9:30 p.m.
On the Hannah Park Stage beside F&M Bank: Crescent Cloggers, 10 a.m.; The Messengers, 10:30 a.m.; Little Miss/Mister Farmer Contest, 11 a.m.; Southern Style Cloggers, noon; Carolina Family Quartet, 12:30 p.m.; The Faithful Servants, 1 p.m.; Lighting, 1:30 p.m.; Advantage Gymnastics, 2 p.m.; Jeff Whitington and the Brand New Opry Show, 3 p.m.
On the Children's Stage at Centerview and Main: Ron Johnson Magic and Comedy Show, 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.; Burns and Company, 10:30 a.m., noon and 1 p.m.
The handicap parking area will be located off Swink Street at the Town Hall parking lot and on the rear parking lot of Wachovia.
