The victim, a 15-year-old boy, was found at his residence and taken to Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in stable condition, according to a press release from the Sheriff's Office.

At 10:23 a.m., the boy called 911 from his home at 2051 Moss Creek Drive to report he had been shot in the chest, the press release said. Sheriff's deputies, Cabarrus EMS and Harrisburg firefighters responded.

He was in the Cabarrus County jail Friday evening under an $8,000 bond.

Dmitriy Vladislavov Livetskiy, 20, of 7020 Winding Cedar Trail, is charged with giving a firearm to a minor, a felony, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a misdemeanor. He was being held under a $4,000 bond.

What do you think of the legislature putting parts of Rowan County in three different congressional districts and two state Senate districts?
  • I like it; Rowan will have more members of Congress and the state Senate
  • I don't like it; it's hard enough to figure out who my congressman is
  • I don't care about politics, so it makes no difference to me
