Beer, Bible among items stolen from vehicles

Charges continue to mount against a group of teenagers police say pillaged unlocked vehicles, taking whatever they could find.

In the latest installment of warrants, one is charged with taking a six-pack of beer, a Bible and a lot of electronic equipment.

Dominque Finger, 18, of 1614-11B Standish St., was charged with 27 additional counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle and 23 counts of misdemeanor larceny.

Finger's bond was set at $25,000 on the warrants taken out by Salisbury and China Grove police.

In addition to the Bible and beer, items taken included Dewalt drills, two car color TV's, a briefcase and PDA, several cell phones and GPS devices, credit cards, checkbooks and cash.

Kendrick Jamal Vinson, 17, of 1432 Old Wilkesboro Road, was charged with five additional counts of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and five counts of larceny.

Items taken included a Nintendo DS game system, a Cobra radar detector, coins, knives and a Razor cellphone.

Vinson's bond was set at $5,000.

Frank Belton III, 409 Grace St., Salisbury was also charged with five counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle and five counts of misdemeanor larceny.

His bond was set at $5,000.

All three are scheduled to appear in Rowan County District Court on Thursday.
