Salisbury City Council has approved the rezoning of approximately an acre at 102 Mocksville Ave.
The parcel, owned by Novant Health Inc., is located where Mocksville Avenue, Caldwell Street and Franklin Street come together.
Senior Planner Preston Mitchell said the rezoning was simply meant to "fix" the split zoning previously on the parcel.
The lot had been divided between the Neighborhood Mixed-Use and Residential Mixed-Use zoning districts.
The rezoning makes it all Residential Mixed-Use.
Novant hopes to return use of the property to medical offices.
