Two more teens charged in vehicle break-ins

Two more suspects have been charged in a car break-in spree in Salisbury and Granite Quarry.

The incidents occurred in western Rowan County area near N.C. 150.

Kendrick Jamal Vinson, 17, of 1432 Old Wilkesboro Road, has been charged with 14 counts of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, one count of larceny of a firearm and two counts of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle.

Frank Belton III, 17, of 409 Grace St., is charged with 12 counts of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and one count of larceny of a firearm.

They were placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under $27,500 secured bond apiece.

Wednesday night, the Rowan County Sheriff's Office charged Belton with breaking, entering and larceny connected to a motor vehicle, financial car theft and financial card fraud.

He is accused of breaking into a trailer and stealing $2,420 worth of tools belonging to Hildebran Management and Consultants. Reports said he also stole and used a credit card belonging to Paul B. Reynolds III.

He was placed under an additional $7,500 bond.

Glenn Travis Bowman, 18, of 1023 Lincolnton Road, and Dominique Finger, 18, 1614 11-B Standish St., were previously charged in the same string of auto break-ins and are being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under $25,000 bond each.

Bowman and Finger are each charged with 18 counts of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and misdemeanor larceny. They are also charged with larceny of a firearm.

The warrants originally sworn out by Deputy T.M. Haupt of the Rowan County Sheriff's Office and Granite Quarry officer Wayne Trivette included break-ins and thefts from vehicles on nearly a dozen streets, including Roberts Drive, Rogers Drive, Locke Circle, Briggs Road in Salisbury and Crowell Street, Meadow Wood and Salisbury Avenue in Granite Quarry.
