Senate candidate at Juneteenth celebration
U.S. Senate candidate Kay Hagan, the Democratic nominee in North Carolina, will attend the Juneteenth celebration today in Salisbury.
Hagan, a state senator from Greensboro, is expected to be at Kelsey-Scott Park around 10:45 a.m. The park is located at 1920 Old Wilkesboro Road.
Also today, Hagan will be addressing a Rockingham County Democratic Party breakfast in Reidsville and will be attending an event at Kiwanis Park in Hickory over lunch.
The seat of U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Dole, R-N.C., is up for election in November.
