E-mail to a friend

Jacob Michael Wilhelm of Salisbury has received the Randall Gore Memorial Scholarship at East Rowan High School.

Wilhelm, a senior, is a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Rockwell and a volunteer at the East Rowan YMCA.

The son of Kent and Tammy Wilhelm, he has been accepted at East Carolina University, where he will major in exercise physiology.

While at East, he played junior and varsity basketball.

The $500 scholarship was established in 1994 in memory of Randall Gore, who was a rising senior at East. It is sponsored by Organ Lutheran Church.
