Education: Dean's and president's lists

Master's degree

Ashley Christine Graham of Salisbury has earned a master of arts in management from Wake Forest University Babcock Graduate School of Management.

Graham was one of 620 students who earned advanced degrees from Wake Forest's graduate and professional schools. Vice President Joe Biden was the keynote speaker for the May 18 ceremony, held at Hearn Plaza on campus.

A total of 321 graduates of Wake Forest University Schools of Business were hooded during a ceremony in Wait Chapel on Sunday, May 17.Davidson graduate

Sarah M. Bertram of Salisbury graduated May 17 from Davidson College.

She is the daughter of Dr. Robert and Lyn Bertram of Salisbury and a graduate of Cannon School. A biology major, she earned a bachelor of science degree.

While at Davidson, she was a member of the varsity swimming and diving team. She plans to travel to Zambia, then enroll in medical school.

Dean's list

Amy Lea Hipp has been named to the dean's list at Appalachian State University for the spring semester 2009 with a semester GPA of 3.80.

Hipp is a senior at ASU double majoring in recreation management with a concentration in outdoor experiential education and public history. She is the daughter of Greg and Jackie Hipp of Salisbury and a 2006 graduate of West Rowan High School.

ODU dean's list

Joseph Miller, son of Joe and Cindy Miller of China Grove, was named to the dean's list for the spring 2009 semester at Old Dominion University.

He is a computer engineering major in the College of Engineering.

President's list

Hannah Peach has been included on the president's list at Clemson University for outstanding academic accomplishments during the spring semester.

Students on the list much achieve a 4.0 grade point average.

Peach, a rising senior, is majoring in psychology and is a 2007 graduate of Salisbury High School. She is the daughter of Bob and Barbara Peach of Salisbury.
