The "Faith, Spirituality and Environmental Stewardship" conference continues through Saturday morning with Dr. J. Matthew Sleeth and his daughter, Emma, as the final presenters.

Matthew Sleeth will speak on "Finding Your Calling" in Hedrick Little Theatre in the Robertson College-Community Center. Then, Emma Sleeth will speak about "It's Easy Being Green: Practical Ideas for Teens & College Students."

Both are free and open to the public, although Center for the Environment leaders ask that anyone planning to attend call 704-637-4295 so they can move the presentations to a larger facility if needed.

"If you're interested in finding your calling in life, if that's what you're exploring, it's a good time to come," Director John Wear said of Matthew Sleeth's presentation.

A sophomore at Asbury College in Wilmore, Ky., Emma Sleeth wrote her book, "It's Easy Being Green" while still in high school. Two months after its release, it is already in its second printing, her proud father said Thursday.

Tonight's two presentations — the first by the Rev. Canon Sally Bingham and the second by Matthew Sleeth — are also open to the public at a cost of $15. Bingham will speak on "Bringing Faiths Together to Respond to Global Climate Change" at 7:15 in Hedrick Little Theatre, followed by Sleeth's 7:45 presentation on "Serving God to Save the Planet."

An 8:45 p.m. question and answer session with both presenters will conclude the evening. Anyone planning to attend should call the Center for the Environment at 704-637-4295.
