China Grove man injured in ATV wreck

CHINA GROVE — A man was injured Wednesday evening when his all-terrain vehicle wrecked in a field off Pine Ridge Road.

China Grove Fire Chief Jeff Gledhill said the man, whose identity was not immediately available, had been working on the ATV, trying to fix some problem.

Around 5 p.m., he took the ATV for a test drive in the field and the front tie rod broke.

Gledhill said the ATV turned over and rolled over the man's leg, which had previously been injured. He sustained a broken leg and was transported to Carolinas Medical Center- NorthEast.
