Police are looking for two suspects who robbed a man at gunpoint Tuesday morning.
A man was cleaning the parking lot of the 936 S. Jake Alexander Blvd. Waffle House at about 5 a.m. when one of the suspects pointed a pistol at him and asked for his wallet.
The man threw some money on the ground but wouldn't give the suspects his wallet, Salisbury Police Deputy Chief Steve Whitley said. The two suspects grabbed the money and ran away.
Both suspects were wearing hoodies and blue jeans and are described as young black men about 6 feet tall and 130 pounds.

Maybe Awffle House will reconsider.... : Wednesday, May 14, 2008 7:20 PM
Waffle house has on the side of their building, about 12 feet up and away from the door, a sign that does not follow NC Law stating that carrying firearms at their place of business is prohibited. Maybe now they will rethink this, I know I do not patronize them for this very reason. Perhaps if a customer had been there with a legally allowed firearm, this wouldnt have happened. Those of us who carry firearms legally know how to use them, when to use them, and yes, we will even use them to protect those who dont want to carry them. Think about it, if 5 out of 10 customers in a business carry concealed, and the criminals know this, do you honestly think that they will come to that place of business to commit crimes?
