Campers will step back in time and gain hands-on experience of gold mining in the 1800s. Activities will include using log rockers, panning for gold, designing money and specialized tours designed just for campers.

SMACK: Summer Musical Arts Camp for Kids

On June 16, kids from all over the Cabarrus County area will be given the opportunity to participate in an authentic Broadway-style musical.

This two-week interactive camp at Concord First Assembly's main campus will culminate with a ticketed performance on June 27, at 7 p.m..

Kids in grades 1-12 will work together with hands-on instruction from a staff of working professionals.

They will present "Willy Wonka," the well-beloved musical adaptation of Roald Dahl's classic story.

SMACK offers this opportunity to the first 100 interested cast members.

The Arts Experience 'Rockin' Reality' camp

The Arts Experience presents "Rockin' Reality" June 23 -27.

At this performing and visual arts day camp, campers will rock into reality as they sing, dance, act and create art just like on reality TV. The stars are sure to shine brightly at the Summer Showcase.

Rising K through first grade: half day, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m..

Rising second-eighth grade: full day, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Registration fee: $75 full day and $50 half day. This fee is non-refundable and is inclusive in the cost of camp.
