Activities sponsored by Salisbury Parks and Recreation include tennis, swimming, a kite day and camps open to residents of the city, as well as non-residents.

* Lincoln Pool Grand Opening, 1-5 p.m., June 7. $4, residents/$8 non-residents.

* Kids All American Fishing Derby, 9 a.m.-noon, June 14. Salisbury Community Park. No charge, transportation available.

* Night at the Ballpark: Kannapolis Intimidators Game, 6-11 p.m., June 20. Meet at City Park Center. $10 residents/$20 non-residents.

* Kiwanis Junior Open Tennis Tournament (USTA Sanctioned), June 20-22, Salisbury Parks and Recreation Department. Call 704-638-5295 for more details.

* Flowering Perennials Workshop, 4-6 p.m., June 26. City Park Center $5 residents/ $10 non-residents.
