Middle School Adventure Camp

Grades: rising 6-8

Dates: June 11-Aug. 22

Cost (per week): $95 member, $130 potential member.

Registration fee: $25.

Challenge Course (High Ropes) Camp

Grades: rising 9-10.

Great summer camp for girls to learn skills in cheerleading, dance, gymnastics and swimming.

Rugrats Gym and SwimCamp 1 — June 23-26

Time: 10:15-11:30 a.m.

$40 member, $80 potential member. Ages 3-5.

SPLASHRegistration: June 9-23

Free to members.

Date: June 23-27

Time: 7-8 p.m. Ages 3- to 5-year-olds and 6- to15-year-olds.

This program is designed to get kids excited about swimming while teaching aquatic safety and it is also an intro to swim lessons.

Lifeguard Class

Registration any time.

Date: July 14-24.

Times: 1-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

Cost: $150 members, $180 potential members.

Requirements: Must be 15 years old and pass prerequisite swim test.

Swim Lessons

We offer several sessions for 3- to 5-year-olds, 6- to 15- year-olds and adults. We have private swim lessons, four-week lessons and Friday/Saturday lessons. Registration is two weeks before sessions begin. Cost ranges from $15-$74, depending on session.

Mother's Morning OutDates: June 18-Aug. 13.

Time: 9 a.m.-noon.

Ages: 3- to 5-year-olds.

Register June 2-18. Limit: 8.This program only runs through the summer, activities include arts and crafts, music, games, snacks and fun themes.

Parent's Night Out

Date: June 13 and Aug. 15.

Time: 6-10 p.m.

Ages: 6 months-10 years.

Cost: $5, for YMCA members only.

Come join the fun while parents get to enjoy a dinner out or just an evening of solitude. Space limited, so sign up early.

J.F. Hurley Family YMCA

828 Jake Alexander Blvd., Salisbury. 704-636-0111.Camps will operate from Wednesday, June 11-Friday Aug. 22. Camp is closed July 4.

Hours of Operation: 7 a.m. –6 p.m. Camper must be at camp by 8:15 a.m.

Fees: A one time registration fee of $25 is required at the time of registration with a $10 discount for additional children in same family.

There is a $10 deposit required for each week you want your child to attend. The deposit will guarantee you have a spot for that week.

Camp KiwanisRising first-fifth grades. YMCA member, $90 weekly; potential member, $125 weekly. Week 1, June 11-13, pro-rated fee is YMCA member, $60; potential member, $80.

Camp ChallengeRising sixth graders-12 years old. YMCA member- $95 weekly, potential member-$130 weekly.

Week 1 June 11-13, pro-rated fee is, YMCA member- $65; potential member $85.

Both camp Kiwanis and Camp Challenge are licensed through the state.

Our camp is a licensed facility and we do not accept childcare vouchers, if childcare is denied through DSS, you must have a letter of denial to obtain assistance with the YMCA.

Financial assistance is available through the YMCA "Open Doors" program, applications for this program can be picked at the YMCA Member Services Desk.

J. Fred Corriher YMCA

950 Kimball Rowan China Grove 704-857-7011A full schedule of sports events, swmming classes and camps are planned at the J. Fred Corriher YMCA.

The Xpress Camp is for first-graders to rising fifth- graders. Camp will operate from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Xtreme Camp is for rising sixth-graders through rising eighth-graders. Camp will operate from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
