Kannapolis police seek information in Rushco robbery
E-mail to a friendKANNAPOLIS — The Kannapolis Police Department is asking for the public's help regarding the Monday night robbery of the Rushco Convenience Store at 604 North Cannon Boulevard. Kannapolis Police officers responded to the store after the clerk called 911 at 10:03 p.m. and reported a robbery. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a young black man between the ages of 18 and 25, standing about 5 feet to 5-foot-2, walked into the store wearing a green hooded sweatshirt and carrying a long-barreled firearm. The man approached the clerk and demanded money. The clerk complied with the robber's demands and gave him the money. The suspect was last seen walking north behind the store on Central Drive.
