The strawberries are red, too

It is hard to tell which is more appealing, getting ice cream on a warm, sunny afternoon or sitting in a rocking chair with a view of rural Western Rowan county's farm scene. Either and both, especially together. Photo by Jon C. Lakey, Salisbury Post.
Visitors to Patterson Farm in Mount Ulla, where this photo was taken, can sit a rock a while on the porch. The farm is a popular site with visitors to the region, especially this time of year when the ripening strawberries are as red as the ice-cream shop’s walls.
