UNCC graduate

Stephen Michael Blount is a May graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a master of arts degree in geography/community planning.

A member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Blount graduated with a 4.0 grade-point average.He is a 1973 graduate of Salisbury High School and received a bachelor of science degree in business administration in 1977 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead Scholar.

He is closing his current business, Comfort Contractors Inc., and will be involved in regional planning efforts.

Son of the late Harry and Carolyn Blount, he and wife Melanie live in Spencer. They have two sons, Michael and William.
