RCCC graduate

Shanae L. Simpson is a May 10 graduate of Rowan-Cabarrus Community College with an associate degree in cosmetology.

A 1997 graduate of North Rowan High School, she also completed certification as a certified nursing assistant and a phlebotomist at RCCC, where she was a dean's list student from 2005-07.

Daughter of Sharon and Chris Woods of Kannapolis, she plans to pursue an associate degree in nursing at Cabarrus College of Health Sciences in Concord.

J.C. Smith graduate

Tamara Na'Chie Wilson is a May cum laude graduate of Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte. She received a bachelor of science degree in computer science information systems.

A dean's list student from 2005-08, Wilson was a member of Beta Kappa Chi.

Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Woods of Kannapolis, she graduated from North Rowan High School in 2002. She plans to pursue a master's degree in computer science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
