China Grove likely to hire Bill Pless

CHINA GROVE — Bill Pless, who has served as acting town manager for more than six months will apparently get the job full time.

The China Grove Board of Aldermen met in closed session Tuesday evening to interview Pless, one of three finalists for the job. Two other finalists were interviewed last month.

Mayor Don Bringle said the board will likely hold a special meeting early next week to finalize a contract. Bringle declined to say who the board selected, but other town officials said the town is negotiating a contract with Pless.
