RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- Republican Sen. Elizabeth Dole has won her primary against challenger Pete Di Lauro.

Dole breezed to a comfortable victory Tuesday. With less than 1 percent of precincts reporting, Dole had 89 percent of the vote.

Five Democrats are vying to challenge Dole.

Early returns show that state Sen. Kay Hagan has won 63 percent of the vote in early returns. Chapel Hill entrepreneur Jim Neal had 20 percent, Lumberton attorney Marcus Williams had 10 percent, Lexington trucker Duskin Lassiter had 4 percent and Moncure podiatrist Howard Staley had 4 percent.

Only 92,786 ballots have been counted in the Democratic race.

People are so blind. She's done virtually nothing for Rowan or NC for that matter. She looks like she spent plenty of time at the plastic surgeon getting her face fixed though.
