Dr. Bernard Richardson, dean of the Rankin Memorial Chapel and associate professor of pastoral care and counseling at the Howard University Divinity School, will present two lectures as a part of the Hood Theological Seminary Heritage Lectureship Series.
The lectureship series will begin Feb. 5, with an opening lecture at 10:10 a.m. in the Seminary Chapel on the campus at 1810 Lutheran Synod Drive.
The series will continue that evening with a concluding lecture in the chapel at 7 p.m. Dr. Richardson will speak on the topic, "Clergy Self-Care: Listening for the Sound of the Genuine, Parts I and II."
Richardson holds a bachelor's degree from Howard University, a master's degree from Michigan State University, a Ph.D. from Michigan State, and a Master of Divinity from Yale University Divinity School. He is an ordained elder and minister in the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church.
The Hood Heritage Lectureship Series is held each February and features speakers from various theological backgrounds. Both lectures are open to the public.
