Authorities are looking for two men they say walked out of a local electronics store with a $2,300 television.

Employees at Circuit City, 345 Faith Road, told police two men walked into the store around 3 p.m. Sunday and walked out with a 67-inch Samsung TV.

The TV was sitting in a box on display.

According to a Salisbury Police Department report, each man picked up a side of the box and they walked out.

An employee who saw the men leaving asked them if they needed extra string to tie down the television.

One of the suspects answered yes and the employee went inside. When he came back out, the men — and the TV — were gone.

The employee saw the men driving away, the passenger sticking his hand out of the window to support the box on the car's roof.

The store's manager discovered none of the store's employees had sold the television to the men.

Witnesses told police one of the men was white and the other black. Both men appeared to be in their mid-30s. Both have a slim build, weighing between 150 pounds and 170 pounds, and both had stubble on their faces.

They left in a red four-door vehicle, believed to be a mid-90s model. The vehicle left on Faith Road heading toward Gold Hill Drive.

Authorities ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 866-639-5245 or the Salisbury Police Department at 704-638-5333.

Not Surprised : Tuesday, January 13, 2009 8:27 PM

I ordered a lynksys switch for in store pickup. I recieved my email saying the item was ready, and went to the store. Well it wasn't ready and they called over the PA system to pull the item and I waited a minute and here comes one of circuit Cities ASSociates with a netgear router. After a 2nd announced request I decided to get the switch myself. Just another reason why the citys days are numbered.
