Cook earns Eagle award

Christopher Allen Cook, 13 will receive his Eagle Scout Award today, Jan. 11, at First Presbyterian Church of Salisbury.

Henry Trexler, Scoutmaster of Troop 443, will make the presentation. Cook is the son of Allen and Michelle Cook of Salisbury and an eighth grader at Salisbury Academy. He has earned 25 merit badges and is Senior Patrol Leader. He has earned the Order of the Arrow, Scout Spirit Award, Scout of the Year Award, and the Arrow of Light. He has attended Camp John J. Barnhardt and Camp Daniel Boone.

For his Eagle Scout Project, he relandscaped two planters in front of Overton Elementary School, using 40 volunteers with over 150 service hours.
