CHARLOTTE — Pfeiffer University will host the grand opening of its new Charlotte campus, a 26,440-square-foot facility at 1515 Mockingbird Lane, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Oct. 20.

“Pfeiffer University has had a Charlotte presence for over 40 years, and our new campus will continue to serve the greater Charlotte area with state-of-the-art technology, modern classrooms, and flexible meeting and event spaces,” said Pfeiffer President Colleen Perry Keith. “We look forward to providing new opportunities that are affordable and flexible for those looking to take the next step in Charlotte and beyond.”

The campus is in Grubb Properties’ 1515 Montford Park building, formerly known as the Park Seneca building, which is undergoing a renovation. Pfeiffer University is the anchor tenant of the building and occupies three floors of updated space.

Little Diversified Architectural Consulting led the redesign and renovation of the new office space, which includes classrooms, library space, a marriage and family therapy clinic, and administrative offices. The campus features free parking for students, faculty, staff and guests.

The grand opening will start at 10 a.m. with remarks by Keith and greetings from Mick Mixon, play-by-play radio announcer for the Carolina Panthers, and Peter Atkin, vice president with Cisco Meraki. After a ribbon-cutting, tours of the campus will be offered until 11:30 a.m.

The ceremony and tours are open to the public.
