SALISBURY — Morgan Ridge Railwalk Brewery & Eatery  is hosting a Meals on Wheels Giveback Event on Wednesday from noon to 8 p.m. Morgan Ridge Railwalk Brewery & Eatery is located at 421 Lee Street in Salisbury.

During the event, 10 percent of the cost of purchases will be donated to Meals on Wheels to support meals for seniors, the homebound and the disabled in Rowan County.

The giveback includes lunch, afternoon snacks, appetizers, dinner and beverages.

 Cindy Fink, the new executive director of Meals on Wheels of Rowan, will be on hand to meet those enjoying a meal at Morgan Ridge.

The event kicks off  the 15^th Annual March for Meals — a month-long celebration of Meals on Wheels. March for Meals rallies communities to support seniors who rely on Meals on Wheels to remain healthy and independent in their homes.

Meals on Wheels of Rowan, Inc. is a non-profit agency. Meals are provided to clients at cost using a sliding scale based on ability to pay. Funding is provided by donations from individuals, businesses, foundations and the United Way.
