BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. — Salisbury’s Eric Edwards had a two-day score of 145 at the U.S. Amateur at Oakland Hills Country Club on Monday and Tuesday, but missed the cut.

Edwards, a rising junior at George Mason University, played both of his rounds on Oakland Hills North, a par-70 course. He had a 3-over par 73 on Monday and improved to a 72 on Tuesday. However, that score was good enough to move into the round of 64 match play.

The No. 1 seed in match play is Alex Smalley of Wake Forest, N.C. He played No. 64 Scott Harvey, of Greensboro, on Wednesday. Playing the South course on Monday and Tuesday, Smalley, a sophomore at Duke, had rounds of 65 and 68.
