The Winston-Salem VA Clinic and Winston-Salem VA Annex will be closed Friday afternoon, while staff begin the move to the new Health Care Center (HCC) in Kernersville, approximately 16 miles east of the current clinic. Veterans with urgent needs can call the Veterans Call Support Center at 1-800-706-9126.

The Kernersville HCC will open and begin seeing patients on Tuesday, Feb. 16. The official grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held Friday, Feb. 26. The general public is invited to attend, but seating will be limited. Individuals interested in attending the ribbon cutting are requested to RSVP by email to VHASBYPublicAffairs@va.gov.

The Kernersville HCC, while four times the size of the current Winston-Salem VA Clinic, is not a hospital. The HCC will only provide outpatient treatment, but is planning to expand the current medical care offerings to include less routine outpatient specialty care.
